BDI built a biodiesel production plant in Bakersfield, California, for Crimson Renewable Energy LP, the largest biodiesel producer in California, which is headquartered in Denver (Colorado). The plant allows waste grease collected from commercial kitchens, the food industry, or wastewater treatment plants in the region to be processed locally, significantly reducing the environmental footprint.
This technology enables more efficient and sustainable biodiesel production through the use of a recyclable catalyst. In contrast to conventional processes, the very high feedstock flexibility of this multi-feedstock technology allows for more cost-effective production by processing lower-grade waste materials.
